Funny Friday: Kid comedy

2 year old Rachael was sitting on Grandma’s potty, making conversation while I waited for wiping duty.
“Grandma has two bathrooms,” she told me. “We have one bathroom.”
Long pause here.
“We need two bathrooms.”

From a child who wishes to remain anonymous:
“Canadians? Are those the people that are supposed to be funny?”

ummm….I hate to have to ask, but…you do know what she meant, right?

  1. Comedians don’t all come from Canada but there are a few I would think about shiping there.

  2. I sent a link to something my seven-year-old said recently. It was super cute, and certainly better than what she said to me today: “Not so soon, you big baboon. Well, you really are like a big baboon since you had Christian.” Thanks. I think. I plead the 5-weeks-post-partum chunkiness excuse, but A BIG BABOON???

  3. Okay Kim,
I left a link to my post for this week. All the boys are in it, but it is mainly about Andrew.
Glad the Kid comedy is back

  4. Canadian’s are funny. Some don’t mean to be but they are anyway, eh!? I should know, I’m one of them and proud of it, eh!? As long as your children don’t think we all live in igloos she’s alright,eh!?

  5. Thanks, Kim! I linked.

  6. I was a Mom and a Grandma at a pretty young age. When I was 42 my 8 year old granddaughter passed by the bathroom while I was fixing my hair (which is long) up on top of my head. She watched me and said “Grandma you look like a princess like that” After a short pause she said, “Well… maybe an old queen” Little did her sweet mind know that didn’t sound quite as complimentary.

  7. I linked! Now I’m going to go check out the other links :).

  8. Here’s one. The other day my 2 year old Maddie picked up a My Little Pony and said “donkey”. All I could say is…I guess you know she is being raised in Mexico!
On another note it looks like we will be coming to Texas for the birth of this baby so perhaps we can work out a MIRL then since it just didn’t work last time!

  9. Charlsie,
Email and let me know when the baby is due so we can plan something!

  10. I posted. I like yours about the bathrooms!…8 kids, definitely need more than one.
