I’ve stirred up a hornet nest and everyone’s blood pressure seems to be running a bit high, so why don’t we take a day off and think chocolatey thoughts instead?
Thanks to our friend Nathaniel for sharing this tasty little trifle:

Dark Chocolate Better than Tea at Reducing High Blood Pressure

If anyone is suspicious about the fact that articles like this invariably come out a few weeks before Mother’s Day, I have only this to say:
aaahhhh…chocolate. Pass me those bonbons.

  1. a suburban housewife says:

You hornets-nest-stirrer-upper-you!! Pass me some dark chocolate. My children have been well indoctrinated, um, trained. They know they better not bring any chocolate into the house that begins with “white” or “milk.” Intensive training really pays off!!

  2. Rocks In My Dryer says:

Ah yes, chocolate. Blood pressure is much better now, thank you. ;)

  3. Lady Why says:

Fabulous idea! Would some ice tea on the back porch go well with dark chocolate or might that be a bit too much sugar and caffeine to aid the blood pressure?

No… it sounds like a winning combination to me!
