We’re a team
We are on vacation. Yes, that’s why I’ve been so quiet. I was holding out on y’all.
Last night, 2yo Rachael woke up at 1 AM and tossed her cookies (actually it was her pizza) on Grandma’s comforter. When Megan brought her to us, our crying, groggy little Redhead had chunks in her hair, on her face and on her pajamas. Yuck.
Hubby and I sprang into action. I whisked Rachael into the bathroom and gave her a bath while my honey assessed the site of the incident. He rinsed the chunks off the comforter and put it in the washer. Within 10 minutes Rachael was clean and back in bed and the only sign of what had happened was the happy hum of the washing machine at 1:10 AM.
It was so romantic. We’re a team, and we’re good together.

Oh, fun! You’re going to have to post sometime about how on earth you manage when YOU get sick LOL!
I hope the rest of your vacation goes more smoothly!!
Mrs. C
Sorry about the little one…hope she’s feeling better soon.
Working as a team, especially in time of emergency (and yep, I do think chunks in the middle of the night are an emergency!) is what’s it’s all about! I think it is romantic!
Blessings on your vacation!
Glad you have someone to share duty at 1 in the morning. Hope it was something she ate.
From my memory I know team work is great.
Hi Kim! You probably don’t remember me, but we met at the Film Festival back in October. I admired your Ergo baby carrier, and you took it right off your body and took your tiny son out of it and let me try it out with my then 7 month old Sofia. I was blown away by your kindness…..I think about you often, just because you were so kind to me. We talked briefly about the baby carrier and kids, of course! I accidentally found your blog after I googled your name, and I’m so glad I did find you! I love your blog. I have it bookmarked now. You have encouraged me in a time when I have sorely needed encouragement, just by exploring your blog and reading about different stuff on here. Thank you so much for allowing us to see your inner workings. I felt priveleged to meet you back at the film festival. I am going to keep reading your blog. Thank you for being a vessell that God works through to help fill up His women! Love Leanne
I never knew cleaning puke could sound so lovely
Nothing says family togetherness like cleaning up vomit!
When I grow up I want to be like you, Kim.

Poor little thing. I hope she is better now! Wow…you guys all work together like clockwork. If you’re doing so well at 1 in the morning…you must really have things together at 1 in the afternoon, LOL!
Leanne,
Of course I remember you - I got your email, but wanted to wait til I got home to give you a real reply.
It’s good to hear from you, and I’m deeply moved at how you feel about our meeting. It just goes to show that we never know how God will use us, so we ought to be on our best behavior all the time.
Will you be in town again this year?
The homeschool and etc.,
It’s easy: I don’t get sick. And when I do, it’s invariably morning sickness, which lasts 5 months so I learn to live with it. C’est la vie.
mom2fur,
1AM: yes, we’ve got it together. We all agree that we want everyone to get back to sleep asap.
1PM: not so much. That’s why middle of the night puke is so romantic, see?
WoW! What a night. I love your joyful spirit.
I hope your vacation is going or went well!
