Boys: is it true?

Is it just The Boy, or do all little boys come without a volume control? Like an alarm clock, he’s either on sleep or full blast.
He also loves to dance. Don’t ask me where he learned it, but that kid has got the moves - he swivels his hips, snaps his fingers, swings his arms, bobs his head. He loves music. Folk, country, rock, gospel - it’s all good as far as he’s concerned.
But it’s not just old country songs that get him going. If he’s not bellowing for food or mom (sometimes I am the food he’s bellowing for), he’s belting out the Gloria Patri or the Threefold Amen. Always at full blast. He makes a joyful
noise, alright. I’m pretty sure his dad can hear him 52 miles away at work.
Then he blinks his big brown eyes at me, innocently inquires, “Boo?” and my decibel-induced stress melts away.

My boy was the same way. Loud.
Meanwhile, I’m still marveling at the sweetness and light that is a one-year-old girl. Sigh.
I always blamed to noise level in our house on my son…until my daughter spent a week at grandma’s. It was eerily quiet around here.
Yes it has been my experience that they have two volumes asleep or completely on and loud. Some of mine have had an on that starts at loud and gradually gets louder.
If I leave them with hubby in the store for a minute I can always find them by listening for my boys because one or more of them will eventually make a sound and I will find them.
Awww, your baby boy is so adorable!
I made the same comment two weeks ago at relatives’: if anyone knows how to turn down my son’s volume control, let me know!
He is soooo cute!
Loud babies? I keep waiting for a quiet one. I don’t know WHERE they get it from! My husband and I are so shy and introverted.
5 girls and 1 boy here. He is always on LOUD. The only time he is not LOUD is when he is asleep. Eating? He is LOUD. Schoolwork? He is LOUD. Playing? He is DEAFENING! He is almost 9 and I have yet to find the mute button, volume control or anything like that. If you find where it is hidden I would appreciate you sharing that little gem with me!
He’s so adorable! No wonder his sisters are still fighting each other off to get their chance to hold him!
In the second picture, it looks like he is saying,”who? Me?” Too cute!!!
That bottom picture is so adorable! They both are, really.
I have three boys and they are always on LOUD! And always moving.
My husband and I joke that we need a girl to calm things down a little.
Well… it is comforting to know that our boys are not the only LOUD ones out there! I have always blammed it on my husband’s New York jeans.
That’s funny because around here, my little sweet cherub girl is the LOUD one. Always been the loud one too. Her brother is the quiet, pensive contemplative one. Her? Well, she’s not just loud but instead really reaLLY REALLY LOUD.
Kids are so varied and different, that’s for sure!
Charity, I have 5 boys and then finally had 2 girls. The younger girl being only close to two months old. Our oldest daughter Katie is very different from her brothers but being surrounded by boys both brother and cousins creates a little girl who not only loves and acts like a girl and loves girlly things but a girl that has learned how to act and compete like a boy in a boy world. She wants to wrestle and play just as hard as they do. I am hoping her sister will help balance her out some.
