Poll: who thinks I’m pregnant?

THE CASE FOR PREGNANCY:

  • I am 17 days late.
  • I’ve been slightly queasy for 3 days. I always get morning sickness, usually even before I realize I’m late.
  • I have always been pregnant before the baby reaches The Boy’s age. This is already our longest gap.
  • I have been eating like a pig like a horse like a cow more than usual.
  • I have been noticeably more tired than usual.
  • In the past, my suspicions have nearly always been accurate.

THE CASE AGAINST PREGNANCY:

  • I haven’t been regular since The Boy was born.
  • I failed a pregnancy test when I was 7 days late (10 days ago).
  • Most of my children are sick, so it’s entirely possible that my queasiness means I caught their bug.
  • I stayed up later than usual several nights last week, which would easily explain my tiredness.
  • I have failed at least 7 pregnancy tests in a row.

  1. my guess is your pregnant, God bless.

  2. Sounds pretty persuasive for positive on pregnancy :)

  3. I have been in this predicament several times and realize that guessing is almost always wrong! LOL

So here is to wishful thinking…..

I say no, secretly hoping it is yes!

  4. I vote for YES! A BFP!

  5. I think you’re prego….

    ;)
    Love ya.

  6. I agree pregnant

  7. With my littlest, I was 12 days late before I got a faint positive on a test. Give it a couple more days and test again. I hope you get the answer you’re looking for!

  8. Ok, so the answer of course is to go down to Dollar Tree (they’re supposed to have super sensitive tests) and take another test!

Plus…you can buy alot of tests because they’re only a dollar and 8 cents each!

But…I think there’s a good chance you are and in that case horray!

  9. I hope you are!

  10. Seems to be leaning toward pregnant! Were you nauseous with The Boy? Girls seem to make me more nauseous in general. Keep us posted! :)

  11. Pregnancy test, nothing…
I think you might be holding a little bundle of joy!

  12. Hmmm, I will say no, but then again I’ve been wrong many times!!!

  13. I don’t think so…

  14. Buy a new test (check an expiration date). If you fail it, SEE YOUR DOCTOR! Do not hesitate. Do not wait. Or scoff. Just go.

    Strange things happen. Trust me.

  15. lol… i thought you might be preggo even before you posted this.

I was just thinking… shouldnt she be pregnant by now.

    Take another test!

  16. Pregnant!

  17. Pregnancy tests don’t know everything. Your body knows what it feels like, I’d trust your body. Why do we even make ourselves rely on those tests? I do it too. My husband can always tell even before me, because I get ultra emotional.

  18. Kim — I really hope you are pregnant! It is what I know from reading that you want. I pray a lot to get pregnant and so does my husband. I know not everyone believes I can because I haven’t had a reversal but my faith comes in God being a healer. That is what my prayer always is.

As a side note, would you please ask your husband to tell Mr Phillips how pleased I was with my package today. We collect military coins and so this was the perfect prize for the JT400 in my opinion!

    God bless,
    Sallie

  19. Hmmm… I think you have good points on both sides. But I hope you *are* pregnant!!

    Amy :)

  20. My guess is yes and I hope it’s yes! What a blessing!

  21. Maybe you got pregnant around the same time you were failing these tests and it still wouldn’t show up! Wouldn’t that be funny??

    Mrs. C

  22. TELL US you had Perry stop at the Dollar Tree on the way home to pick up another stash of tests…he DID, didn’t he?? WELL???

  23. Yep. Mommas know best.

  24. Well, since I always wanted 12 and God only gave me one, I can’t get enough of babies… I vote for pregnancy!!!

  25. I agree with Rocks In My Dryer, plus I think the odds are in your favor! ;-)

  26. Well, I’m not sure about you, but I’m pretty suspicious of my own symptoms. Good luck!

  27. I’m guessing it’s not menopause… so it’s probably pregnancy!

BTW - if you fail this pregnancy test… look at it the next day or even two days later. Sometimes in very, very early pregnancy a line will show up later and you should wait a couple of days and test again.

  28. Oh I hope you are! It would be a true blessing. After I had my son, I did not regain my fertility until he was 20 months old, when I fully weaned him. I found this odd because after I had my daughter (my oldest child), I got my fertility back while still nursing (around 12 months post partum). My son was an intense nurser to say the least. When I took a pregnancy test, last October, the lines were extremely faint that I was pregnant.(It was a dollar tree test, by the way.) I jumped for joy anyways..and my baby girl is 3 months old, now. Please keep us posted! :)

  29. Hmmmm … toss up, but it’s looking good!!

  30. I want to say YAHOOO - another one! However, the fact that you failed 7 prego tests leaves me a bit skeptical! hm. Time will tell, I guess. I think that you should add “like a bison” to your list of eating habits - those guys are BIG! :0

  31. Go to the doctor! Don’t debate. Either way… God is in control! Best wishes.

  32. how long are you going to keep us hanging :)…

    I think you are…

  33. Okay, I sooooooooo hope and pray that you are pregnant! I know intimately that feeling of hoping, so hoping that you are……I’m there too.

My vote is yes, and I sure hope i’m right!!

    Praying…..

    Leanne from Longview WA

  34. Ooooh, I think and hope yes!

  35. please clarify did you fail 7 tests in your lifetime or 7 in the past 17 days???

  36. Sorry to keep you hanging, but hubby wasn’t feeling well and I didn’t have the heart to ask him to stop on the way home.
A friend is graciously mailing me some extra tests of hers. Since she lives reasonably near, I should have them very soon.

    mj,
I’m afraid I wasted those 7 tests in the past 3 months. 3 of them were in the last 2 weeks, though the last one was just invalid rather than negative.

  37. I say you are. My sister never ever shows pregnancy on pee tests. She always has to get blood tests to prove it. Maybe this is like that. I hope you are, how exciting!

  38. Mailing them?!?!?!? How can you stand it?

  39. Wouldn’t that be wonderful if you were pregnant!

    Jenny

  40. maybe hubby’s pregnant too…

  41. Stock the freezer with good European dark chocolate… you may need it!

    Andrea from Germany

  42. Oh, I hope so! I hope so!!

  43. I’m on to you, Kim…you’re trying to get your reader numbers up, aren’t you??? You stinker, you’d better give us an update SOON! ;)

  44. Oh, Kim! How exciting! I hope you are. I hope the Lord blesses us with another little one soon too.

I am praying that you all get feeling better.

    God bless your day!

  45. I’ll admit to checking your blog every few days over the last few weeks….JUST TO SEE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT YET. LOL

Since our youngest boys are just a couple of weeks apart, and our family is moving into the 2nd trimester expecting blessing #6, it’s like you’re late or something!

Only God’s timing is best, but I hope with you that he’s chosen to give you a new life now!

  46. I’m hoping you are!! Tell us the minute you find out!

    Momma

  47. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ha !!!!!

    a happy grampa (potential again)
