Rachael’s pet

 rachespet.jpg

Rachael is 3, and she was very excited to have her very own pet last week. She had managed to catch herself a wee little moth, who sat very docilely in her hand.
When she was done holding him, she put him in a little container with a lid and carried that around.
She smiled and chatted all day about her pet, until somebody realized just why the moth had been so easy for her to catch, and why he sat so contentedly on her hand. He was dead. He had been dead when she caught him.
What would you have done? One of her older sisters sweetly and inconspicuously switched out the poor deceased pet with a live one. Wasn’t that nice of her?

No. Not at all.

Rachael was NOT happy. Apparently she knew her pet was dead and she wanted it that way. The live ones always get away.

  1. LOLOLOLOL!! Sounds like the exact thing that happens with my tribe. That is too funny. :)

  2. Poor Rachael. I know what she means. It’s easier to manage when things go our way. Now that her pet was changed she didn’t have control anymore.

  3. Oh that is too cute! You’ll have to remember that one to tell her when she’s older!

  4. Look how lovingly she’s gazing at her precious little dead moth. LOL She’s so adorable.
