Linda,
I was a little concerned about that at first, but The Boy definitely has *no* problem there.

My mum raised me with the thought 'only ONE banana a day, otherwise you won't be able to go to the toilet'..

I'm glad to see it wasn't true after all...... RIGHT?

*lol* Greetings from the netherlands!

Ours are 59 cents a pound here tooo. 49 cents is a decent sale, they won't go below that. I'm jealous of the prices I'm reading.

We love bananas here too, but at the going rate of 59 cents a pound you can bet we don't have them a lot. I used to able to find them 3 lbs for a dollar, but haven't seen that deal in a while. Elise
Came by way of frugal hacks...

hi kim,

here from frugal hacks.

When my kids were infants eating off a tray or my lap, I loved bananas for travel food.

Would slice them in half, cover the open end, and when mealtime came would simply spoon feed from the banana as if it were a little bowl. Did the same with kiwi.

This way baby had fresh , cheap fruit and clean hands and clothes when in public (or otherwise away from convenient clean-up space).

We love nanners too!!! I did a very important poll on my blog about the "right" way to peel bananas. http://amazinggrazefarm.blogspot.com/2007/12/very-important-poll.html

The results are given a couple of days later. =) Inquiring minds need to know these things.....

They are a real must and they are perfect to stay fit, too, did you know? But bananas mustn't be very ripe and sweet, otherwise they are full of Joules (did I write it correctly? Darn, I'm a metrical-decimal girl, after all :) )
Love and peace to all of you!

Meredith,
You got it: I had no apostrophe last night. Today it's working just fine (see? Did you see it?)
We usually pay 39 cents/lb at Walmart for our bananas. I wish I could get them in bulk; it would certainly pay off for us! We do tend to get the larger ones since I suspect there's a smaller ratio of peel to edible fruit, and we have no trouble finishing the big ones around here. I guess we're hearty eaters. :)
