Left Coast mommy bloggers?
Posted on April 10th, 2008 by kimc
So it’s official. I’ll be in the Portland, Oregon area for the week of April 18-25. Who else lives there? Can I see a show of hands? I know a few readers live within a few hours of Portland, and I’ve met 2 in person already.
Who lives close enough and would like to get together on Monday, April 21? We’re meeting south of Seattle. Stalkers and lonely men posing as mommy bloggers need not apply.

I wish I could meet and spend time with you! Unfortunately, that won’t work too well since I live in northern Indiana. I trust you have a wonderful time on this trip though!
You’re too funny…….stalkers and lonely men…..you never know though, strange things happen in this world!
Hope you’re feeling good too! I am right behind you in week 22.
Later,
Angela
ooh, ooh (hand raised) I’m comming! I live in Battle Ground, WA, which is just 30 minutes north of Portland! I’m so very excited. I wanted to go to Michigan very badly last month, so how lucky I am!
Please let me know where we will be meeting on April 21st
Becky
Oh, no! We’re going on vacation that weekend! How sad! Never Mind.
Becky
I live East of Seattle, but I already have plans that day. Bummer!
I live in Portland!
I would love to go, if it’s not too far of a drive!
Blessings,
Michele

I would very much like to try to meet you that day. I live north of Seattle. Where, when, and is coffee involved?
Oh, this just might work for me! I’m up on Whidbey Island…how far south of Seattle are you talking?
Molly, We’re talking about 45 minutes SE of Seattle.
Michele, there are two families at least coming up from Portland, so you’ll be in good company! We’d love to have you!
Katmaxx, it will be on the 21st from 2-7pm; Coffee? Yes. Coffee.
(Where do you live N of Seattle?)
I’m an hour away - WooHoo! No one ever comes to Washington!
Hello, we live SW of Seattle and would LOVE to meet you. (Any of the family coming?)
I may try to combine it with a trip to visit extended family in WA, if it’s somewhat close. DH & I are discussing it to see if we can make it work.
Michele
I’m in Mt. Vernon area (Molly) if you will be coming by yourself I wouldn’t mind your riding with me on the way down, I have one extra seat
Looking forward to meeting you all! You can email me @ chrisandjenni-at-gmail.com
OH, I would love to be able to come (We live in Idaho, but very near the border), but hubby has a military exercise that week. Enjoy your trip!
The girls and I were just in the Seattle area ;(. We are going back but not until August!
I would be shocked if there wasn’t coffee! Coming from Texas where there is a fast-food joint on every corner and going to WA where there isn’t fast food there is coffee on every corner. It was AWESOME!
Hope you guys have a wonderful time together!
WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
*sniff sniff*
Let me get some more kleenex to dry the copious amounts of tears running down my face…….yes, my nose is dripping snot too!!!! lol!!!!
I’m so sad! I’ll be there in spirit…….
LOVE
Leanne in Longview
I live in that fine ‘burb, Mountlake Terrace. I’ll bring something chocolaty to go with the coffee.
Leanne, we will miss you.
Katmaxx, I grew up in Shoreline (even went to Christian school in MLT). Small world…
Yay! Won’t this be fun to all meet?:-)
I’m not very prolific (since having my son–but that does make me a Left Coast mommy blogger.. for now anyway). But would be interested in coming meeting folk before we shoot away to Texas ourselves (hopefully in the fall).
If you’ll have me I’ll go see if I can get off work Monday (likely if workload allows)
I’m just east of Seattle right now.
I must have found you via Jonash… I live in Salem just about 45 minutes south of Portland and I just had to laugh when I read “left coast”! Sounds like fun but I’ve got a full day already next Monday! It’s been very fun to read your blog. I love reading about families with lots of little blessings.
I would love to come! Is this meeting place child(ren, lots) friendly? Hopefully I will have been fully recovered from the Christian Heritage Conference. please let me know the details.
Hi Amy,
It will be at my house, and with 7 kiddos, if it’s not child-friendly yet, it never will be! We would LOVE if you came with your kids.
Please email me at karen (dot) engstrom (at) comcast (dot) net and I can give you the scoop.
And look for me at the conference - I’ll be there. Be sure to introduce yourself!

Bless you,
Karen
