Things I remember forgetting
I’ve told you before that my memory isn’t the best…at least I think I have mentioned it… I don’t exactly remember…
But I’ve surprised myself today. Now that I’m sitting in an airport, about to be a thousand miles from home, my memory seems to work just fine. I’m suddenly and effortlessly remembering all the things I forgot to do or bring:
I forgot my tweezers. They are built into my Swiss Army knife, which I DID remember to take out of my purse so that I wouldn’t be forced to leave it behind at security, but now I am halfway across the country with no tweezers.
I forgot to ask Jane P. for a new check to pay for her produce, since I inadvertently put her first check though the laundry.
I forgot to eat lunch. Sure, I snacked. A lot. But at almost-7-months pregnant, it’s easy to convince myself that snacks don’t really count, especially in light of a 2 hour time zone change that puts my scheduled dinner at 9:00 Texas time. It’s a good thing I brought snackage.
I forgot to take my new Supermom vitamin this morning. Last night I set a single vitamin on my dresser before packing the bottle into my carry-on bag. Today, it’s still sitting there on my dresser. At least, I assume it is. Maybe the dog ate it. She never forgets to eat.
I forgot to pull together the packaging and shipping info for our latest Geneva Bible Page order. Hubby will have to attend to the details, as if he didn’t already have enough to do.
I forgot to blog about my real-life-friend’s giveaway for a new copy of Passionate Housewives over at Ship Full O’ Pirates. She’s going to be drawing a winner on Friday, and is giving away a new title from Vision Forum every week for a month. Or more. I forgot just how many giveaways she is doing.
And that’s just the stuff I remember forgetting. I wonder what I’m still forgetting? And I can’t help but wonder if all this means my memory is suddenly better or worse?
