I was busy procrastinating, but in light of the fact that I just spent 2 luxurious days in beautiful Southern California as result of blogging, I will now graciously accept the Interesting Blog award given to me by Handy Mom and by Hercules Mulligan.
I could be making up the parts about all the kids and homeschooling, but the limo thing? Never. It’s true. My blog is interesting! If you disagree, try using my search box for “daddy longlegs” or “tarantula.” Of course, if you disagree you’re probably not reading this right now, are you?

- Ship Full O’ Pirates. Mother Hen is my real life friend, and she is never boring. I’m so glad she started blogging so that her wisdom and wry humor could be shared with the masses. Anyway, she’s really dying for someone to laugh while drinking and reading her blog, and accidentally spray their monitor, but even if I did I couldn’t admit it. Hubby would not be happy at the thought of beverages sprayed on the new laptop, so I need your help: One of y’all will have to be a friend and make her day. Be sure to leave a comment and tell her when it happens.
- The Common Room. The headmistress has always been one of my favorite bloggers. She blogs on such a wide variety of topics, and always adds thought provoking commentary when she shares a good link. She is brave and outspoken and has that same wry humor that charms me in my real-life friends. I like to think that we would be grand friends if we lived near one another.
Oh, and the limo thing? I didn’t get a picture. I was too shy to take the picture. Who am I fooling? I was fumbling with my laptop and bag and camera and lens cap, and he folded up the sign when he ID’d my pregnant belly. That’s where the shy part comes in. I wanted to ask the nice old gentleman to hold up the paper and pose for me, but I just couldn’t do it. And I so wanted that picture.
