Today I was reading the book of James to Rachael, who is almost 4. I don’t remember what prompted the question, but she stopped me to ask if we could see God. I thought of the Catechism for Young Children: God is a spirit and has not a body as we do. I told her that we couldn’t see God because He doesn’t have a body like we do.
She was puzzled and a little sceptical. She raised one eyebrow and countered, “Well, does He have a rectangle body?”

That is GREAT! Never had that ? come up when doing our catechisms. Love it!
I like that answer.
Can’t wait to see the new header photo with all the little ones.
Too funny! We were listening to “God is a Spirit” on our Judy Rogers catechism CD “Teach Me While My Heart is Tender.” The words say, “God is a Spirit, just think of the wind; He doesn’t have a body like men. Oh no, He doesn’t have a body like men.” Our almost four-year-old pipes up from the back of the van, “Mummy, does God have a body like women?”
Don’t these quotes just go down in the family funnies!
I bet your little Red and our little Bucky (short for Chelsea Belsey Bucket – don’t ask) would get on really well.
