Although she’s been smiling all along, Bethany fully mastered the self-conscious social smile yesterday. Our hard drive space is doomed.
Let the voice of vanity speak up for just before you look at the photo below. Hey, you looked, didn’t you? My arm is not that big. At least I don’t think it is. It must be the lighting, or the angle. Or maybe it’s the camera lens. It couldn’t be the unspecified amount of baby weight I’m still carrying, because those pounds are already accounted for in other places.
Anyway, the photo isn’t about me. I’m just a prop. Look how sweet she is. That’s what we were doing.
Someday I’m going to have to post pictures of those other kids – the old kids. Cue the ovarian guilt.

Ah, but I’m procrastinating because I love the old header too. I certainly didn’t plan that photo – it just happened in a moment of frustration when I gave up on getting all of them to smile and look at the camera. The fact that The Boy turned and looked right at the camera as I snapped the photo was just too perfect!

Ovarian guilt- understand that! Our blog tends to have more posts of our little one than of the bigger kids.

Really. But compared to her little skinny arms, yours look big, but then again you are thankfully bigger than her so it’s ok! She’s so cute!

We did the same thing when my daughter was born 2 years ago — tons of baby pictures, not so many of her big brothers since that time.
