Thank you so much, Coughlin family, for participating in this fund-raiser for PPF! I’m not entering the drawing; I just wanted to post to provide some details about what my husband is doing over in Kenya and Sudan this month.

PPF has been able to dig twenty wells in Jach, Sudan, this year, which is an amazing blessing of the Lord. Without fresh well water, the refugees drink whatever they can find, including muddy ditch water full of bacteria. So many people get sick simply from the lack of clean water. Because of the clean, fresh, abundant supply of water, more and more people (including non-Christian refugees) have been drawn to the PPF camp and medical clinic. They not only receive help for their physical needs; they receive the gospel!

Matt has been meeting with pastors in training and current pastors both in Kenya and Sudan. PPF’s vision is to equip pastors to equip families and help them catch a vision for becoming independent through small farms and other means. This month PPF delivered two motorized boats (donated by a church here in the US) to a church on the Nile River. The church there will be able to use the boats to get people to church on Sunday and to serve as water taxis and raise money during the week. God has provided a means for the men of the church to support their families and carry the gospel up and down the Nile.

Additionally, an organization here in the States donated over one million dollars worth of medicine and vitamins to the PPF medical clinic, and Matt was able to fly in with those supplies and see them to their destination.

Finally, thanks to the contributions of PPF supporters, new radio programs are being created to spread the gospel via Radio Peace throughout Sudan in three different languages, including Arabic. Radio Peace is the only station broadcasting the gospel in Arabic in Sudan, so pray for its continued growth and for the Lord to open the ears of those who hear. PPF has delivered hand-crank radios in the past so that people can listen to Radio Peace all over Sudan.

Obviously, none of this would be possible without the generous support of Christians here in the US. Matt is so thankful for everyone who has donated to the persecuted church in Sudan–the tiniest amount helps! One of our favorite stories is of two little girls who went door-to-door in their neighborhood and asked people to give to the persecuted church. Together they raised over $500!

God bless you all, and please pray for the church in Sudan. God is there and is working mightily. Our brothers and sisters in that country need our prayers and our support. Thank you for anything you can do!

    Blessings,
    Jennie Chancey
