Oh, beautiful day

My hard drive is good.  That’s what my new best friend Jason told hubby, and I have my brain all my important files backed up onto another computer.  We still have to put the laptop back together with either the old hard drive (which Jason feels is still reliable) or the new one from Dell.  Not the new broken one that Dell sent us, but the new working one that they sent us.  I feel it’s important to maintain a distinction here since Dell obviously doesn’t keep track of which new hard drives work and which ones don’t.

More good news: my appointment with the internet service technician, which was cancelled without notice yesterday, was rescheduled for today - likewise without notice.  Apparently the tech thought it would be a good idea to keep the element of surprise and didn’t call 20 minutes before arriving like I was assured he would yesterday.

I wasn’t complaining - at least, not once I got out of my bathrobe and put on some decent clothes.  The kids’ computer is online, and that is good enough to outweigh the inconvenience of dashing for the bedroom while a strange man stands on the deck patiently waiting for the door to open.

In other news, my to-do list yesterday didn’t go quite as planned.  I had to wait 24 hours for the new puppy blog to become active so that I could start setting it up.  My brakes were not under warranty.  And I didn’t kiss the repair tech’s boots because he missed the boat on that.  Yesterday, boot-kissing was on the list.  Today, he got a handshake and a thank you.

But my puppies-for-sale blog is under construction, and we hope it will be ready for viewing tomorrow.  We also hope that I don’t get too wrapped up in it and forget to call the paper and put in our ad, so that local puppy-lovers will actually know about it and view it.

One more thing, totally unrelated.  Female brains work that way, right?  It’s the 7 degrees of separation - everything is related if you really want to take the time to map out the rabbit trail.  But it’s easier to say that it’s unrelated.  Then women know what you mean, and men don’t have to try to follow our rabbit trails.

But I digress…

Kit & Kaboodle CD library

I added Current Vision Forum specials to my left sidebar.  I plan to update it regularly.  Check it out: today is the last day to get the Kit & Kaboodle CD library.  A ton of CD messages for mere ounces of money.  It’s 75% off.  Good stuff, like everything from Vision Forum.  What, me?  Biased?  Never.

  1. I tried clicking on the post #5 that was like this one, and didn’t go anywhere! :)

Glad to hear that your technology related troubles are a thing of the past. Won’t it be great when we don’t have to worry about the curse anymore?
