Milestones that make my day go bump

Vision Forum Deal of the Day: save 40-90%!

The Boy knows how to unbutton his shirts.

He doesn’t know how to button them up; he just unbuttons them.

This means that he now feels empowered to change his shirt every time it gets dirty.  Every time.  Do you know how often that happens with a boy?  Do you? DO YOU? [insert maniacal laughter]

And he needs help to put on the new one, because of course he always chooses a new one with buttons.  So that he can take it off when it gets dirty.

All.  Day.  Long.

Speed bumps in my day.  Exciting theme park rides in his.

You are so funny! I love it! My oldest is 9 and he still changes clothes MANY times a day. Just cuz he likes to change clothes! As long as clean clothes don’t end up in the dirty basket, right? ; )

    I know I’m tired but I can’t quit laughing….lol

Man, that is funny. The cuteness outweighs the inconvience, right? I don’t even know how you get anything done with kids that cute walking around the house all day.

  4. Kim C. (too!) adds her thoughts::

Oh I know exactly how many times a boy gets dirty… times four!!

  5. Mother Hen adds her thoughts::

Yes, yes I do know how often a boy gets dirty! Do you know how often they are allowed to change their shirts in a day? Only for blood, baby!

I am right there with you with my 4 year old son. His eyes pop open in the morning and he jumps out of bed to get dressed. I don’t know why getting dressed is so exciting, but it is. All through the day he pays careful attention to what he is wearing and how dirty or clean it is.
I have friends who tell me how their little girls change clothes all day every day and I have to laugh and tell them so does my son.
I knew he was sick the other day when I came in my bedroom and he was lying there awake…still in his pjs!

Funny!!! My 4 boy has been begging to wear overalls. I said no last winter b/c he couldn’t get them on & off without help. He is anxious to get a pair this year since he can snap them on/off by himself. :)
