The boy is old enough now to know when he’s getting the short end of the stick. As I was getting ready to leave the house yesterday with several of the girls, he came to me with barely suppressed tears, trying his best to be grown up and mature.
“Mom, can I go with you?”
I kneeled down to explain to him that I was going to a bridal shower, and it was for girls. He wouldn’t like it, and he needed to stay home this time.
His face brightened. He seemed to be taking this very well. My little man is growing up, and he can handle disappointment.
“Oh,” he said. ” I don’t like showers. I take baths.“

So cute. =D
What an adorable little man you have.
How funny, my boys were the exact opposite. They wanted showers and not baths!!
Soo funny!
I LOVE IT!

I prefer baths myself as well.

hahahahaha!
Ha! Too funny.
My dad still has not outgrown this joke. When we talk about bridal showers, he always has to mention that we go to the shower, then the “wetting” (wedding), but no one ever talks about the “drying”. Oh, the poor soggy bride.
This is too cute!!!
