I’ll admit I don’t do much on Facebook. I try not to get hooked on the games, causes, groups, etc. But hubby brought this one to my attention and I want to bring it to yours: The Red Letter Campaign.
The idea is simple. Bombard the White House with red envelopes to remind President Obama that the majority of Americans do not support his abortion policy.
You can participate easily, as often as you want. Just send an empty red envelope to the address below. Don’t have a red envelope? Make one out of construction paper. Or make 50. Address them to:
President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington, DC 20500
I’ll make it easy for you. Here’s a sheet with that address 24 times. Click on it, print and hand to a kid old enough to handle a pair of scissors.
Seal it and write the following message on the back:
This envelope represents one child who died in abortion. It is empty because that life was not allowed to offer anything to the world.
Life begins with conception.
Stamp it, mail it, and invite others to do the same.

Thanks! I’ve already printed out the sheet and posted it to my Facebook page!
what a great idea. I hope everyone does this. It could actually make a difference. Thanks for letting us know. God bless.
count me in and everyone I know!
This is a wonderful idea. Thanks for sharing it. I’m going to get the children on it as a fun project today.
Wow what a great idea. I will have to do this and tell others I know to as well.
I love this idea.
I noticed your bunk idea…Here is what we did. We built our children a four tier bunk. It was 28 inches between bunks and we bought the fold up camp matts for the mattresses. We allowed curtains and embellishments for their bed.
We had only one rule one end was to climb up and the other down…(we had an in climb collision). This bunk costs less than one bed…and the kids greatest memories come from that bed.
We had bought a teeny tiny home that needed lots of love, and lots of patience. I am certain that you could make this yourself, or hire the local highschool shop class(oftentimes they do projects such as this)

Thanks. This will be a wonderful afternoon project for the children.
Thanks for making us aware of this!
We happen to have a bunch of pink envelopes lying around, so to be thrifty, we’re using them. We’ve written “baby girl” instead of “child” on the back.
I wonder–why just one weekend in February? Why not once a day all year? Maybe for penmanship practice?
We certainly don’t plan to quit after one weekend! I agree: all year!
Hi Kim,
I linked to this today. I noticed on the Red Envelope Project site, they are asking for a mass mailing on March 31. I have a Mr. Linky up to spread the word.
My 7 kids and I are mailing our envelopes tomorrow.
However they are not empty and they are not going to the Presidents office.
Here is what our letter says:
“Dear Care Net Crisis Pregnancy Center,
I was instructed to send our President an empty red envelope to represent an aborted baby. I think that is a good idea, but I think an even better idea would be to send a crisis pregnancy center a red envelope with 2 dollars in it. One dollar to save baby’s life and one dollar to help a needy mother.
I know you will use my red envelope to fight abortion, and I’m pretty sure President Obama would have just thrown his away.
God bless you
and all the good work you do saving lives…………………”
I will send Obama a prayer that he will change his mind. In the meanwhile, babies need help at crisis centers, please consider sending two envelopes, one empty one to the President and one full one to a crisis pregnancy center.
God Bless,
Karen
