Good laughs and good info, courtesy of the Headmistress.

This year, taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus
Payment. This is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q and A format:

Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. Only a smidgen.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn’t that stimulating the economy of China ?
A. Shut up.

There’s more. Much more. It’s not all funny, but kudos to anyone who can maintain a sense of humor with ideas like this being approved by our government.

Funny….and sad, but true. My comment does not make sense, which is why I don’t believe this whole economic stimulus pay makes cents!

Funny! Too bad that most of the money in this “stimulus” is a liberal spending spree – $4 billion is possibly going to ACORN and other left-wing groups, 20 million is going to re-sodding the lawn since it was all torn up a bit after the $170 million party a few weeks back, $1 billion for Amtrak who hasn’t had a profit in 40 years, and $2.4 billion for carbon-capture demonstrations; and while $66 billion is for education, on page 257 it states that “No recipient . . . shall use such funds to provide financial assistance to students to attend private elementary or secondary schools.” – rather than a true give-the-money-back-to-the-people stimulus.

Politicians! They stupidly think that we are as stupid as they are! (oh dear — I hope no one here minds me using the word stupid, but I think it is one way to describe politicians who will sell their soul for a buck. And all the American people who would sell theirs for a stimulus buck.)
