My crazy little man…

Vision Forum Deal of the Day: save 40-90%!

…Decided that he was going to walk to Aunt Stephanie’s house, half a mile away.  4yo Rachael was with him when he headed down the driveway.  She tried to talk him out of the idea but when he hit the end of the long driveway and turned up the road, she knew what to do.  She left him and ran for help.

Smart girl.  That had to be a tough decision, leaving her stubborn little brother out on the road.

By the time reinforcements arrived, he was halfway up the hill.  It really wasn’t far and technically he was still in front of our property, but it was a long way for a little man on chubby legs.

Since this was the first time he tried a stunt like that and because he has proven himself pliable, he just got a stern talking to.  He now understands the dangers of a trek to Aunt Stephanie’s house and regularly assures me with wide eyes that he doesn’t go alone anymore.

Crazy little man.

Oh, that is the stuff of nightmares, I tell ya. I worry about my little wanderers, too.
    :-(

Way to go…sounds like there’s some good training going on!

When my son was that age he escaped from our then apartment. I had gone grocery shopping and forgot to tell the DH that he either needed to lock the door or watch the little guy good. When I got back I didn’t see the boy. ‘Where’s Remington?” I asked. To my DH’s horror (and mine) he was not in the apartment. Luckily one of the apt. manager’s lived in our building and saw him wandering through the parking lot. She returned him just as we were heading out to search. Such relief, yet such guilt. The DH promptly did some seat of the pants training.

Isn’t he so adorable though? out on an adventure of his own. He’s big now , he can do it himself. Gotta love the little guy. So adorable.

When my brother was about 18mo, he went out in only socks in 3foot snow and no one knew where he was! We were going in and out of the house because we were bringing in groceries and he went out the door by his lonesome with no coat or shoes! Thank God I saw him about 100feet from the house before he was too far gone and in real danger!
Your little man and my Dude would be something together! :)
