When my brother was about 18mo, he went out in only socks in 3foot snow and no one knew where he was! We were going in and out of the house because we were bringing in groceries and he went out the door by his lonesome with no coat or shoes! Thank God I saw him about 100feet from the house before he was too far gone and in real danger!
Your little man and my Dude would be something together! :)

When my son was that age he escaped from our then apartment. I had gone grocery shopping and forgot to tell the DH that he either needed to lock the door or watch the little guy good. When I got back I didn't see the boy. 'Where's Remington?" I asked. To my DH's horror (and mine) he was not in the apartment. Luckily one of the apt. manager's lived in our building and saw him wandering through the parking lot. She returned him just as we were heading out to search. Such relief, yet such guilt. The DH promptly did some seat of the pants training.

Way to go...sounds like there's some good training going on!
