I hate to say that with all 7 of my kids I never had morning sickness. THE MOST I HAD WAS A QUEASY STOMACH AND DRY TOAST AND TEA WITH SUGAR AND MILK WORKED FOR THAT.

There is hope for Megan...My baby sister (who is now a year and almost 5 months old) was due at the beginning of June, and she was born May 24th. So I finally had someone else with me in May after waiting for NINETEEN YEARS...(my birthday is the 18th of May).

So it could be possible...

Cheerios! I practically lived off them with my first baby, and now that I am being slammed again with all day sickness (I'm about five weeks along too!) , I have found that keeping a handful of Cheerios near by helps to keep my stomach settled. I also found relief from many of the previous suggestions such as sucking on hard candy, smelling the scent of lemon, and sipping on ginger ale.

Congrats!!

With my youngest, I would get sicker in the evening. So, I would eat a hunk of Extra Sharp Cheese and then go to bed early. I don't know what it was about the cheese, but it saved me from on the verge of throwing up. I hate throwing up, so I tried to avoid it at all cost. Congratulations!

Kim, although only mentioned once, i second the idea of Zofran. i'm taking it for the first time during my 8th pregnancy and i wish i'd known about it earlier. i understand those who don't want to take any meds while pregnant but i'm choosing to trust my experienced md and just be thankful! i haven't even taken the max dose- one pill a day instead of three is working for me. yahoo!!

I haven't read all your comments, so forgive me if I am repeating anything suggested :). I am expecting my 9th baby. I am usually have all day and all night "morning sickness" (throwing up, dehydrating...the whole deal). This time I took a sublingual vitamin B complex faithfully. It is the Ultra B12 NOW brand, and was a life saver for me. I was still sick, but found I felt I was actually surviving this time around. I only threw up a few times, opposed to the constant in past pregnancies.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!! I am rejoicing with you!

First off, congratulations!

As to morning sickness...I kept something salty on the night table. (saltines worked great). I had a nibble first thing when I woke up, before I even sat up or tried to get out of bed.

I also avoided strong odors...canned tuna and canned cat food in particular.

That's it for me...I'm low on tips today,

Looking forward to following your pregnancy as you add a new blessing to your family!

My #1 is grapefruits. Cold grapefruit. I would fresh squeeze the juice and drink that when I didn't feel like I could eat anything. It didn't keep me from throwing up but it helped.
I tried the beans with my current pregnancy (15 weeks along) and they defiantly helped with the nausea but I had so much indigestion and bloating and gas that I could keep eating them. Hopefully it works better for you.
