I just want to make sure everyone knows

FREEZING (40′s) COLD RAINY WET WEATHER IS DISGUSTING!

(bleah, shiver, shudder)

As much as I love cool, chilly, or dry weather I am firmly of the opinion that cold, WET weather is

DESPICABLE, PERVERTED, and REPULSIVE, WORSE THAN THE MOST HUMID OF HUMID AND HOT DAYS.

I SPIT UPON RAIN THAT DARES TO INTRUDE UPON MY COOL WEATHER! (ptooey!) I TRAMPLE IT INTO THE COMPOST PILE!

BAH, HUMBUG!

whew. Just had to get that out of my system. All right, rant over. You may return to your normal daily life.

    good thing you don’t live up here in PA.

  2. Alice adds her thoughts::

    lol!

    I live in cold, rainy England, and can be heard muttering similar things about heat and humidity in the summer months! ;) I love me a cosy rainy day!

  3. Amanda adds her thoughts::

    LOL! at least its better than snow… we are supposed to get some of that… :( I would use your post to tell how I feel about snow! :P

  4. Marci adds her thoughts::

    Tell us how you REALLY feel!! :)

  5. Lauren adds her thoughts::

    I totally agree. I would much, much rather have snow than the stuff we had today. I grew up in Colorado, and I would trade a blizzard any day for dreary.

  6. Holly C. adds her thoughts::

    A nice, hot bath will cure what ails ya!?

  7. Robin adds her thoughts::

    A nice hot bath, a warm blanket to cuddle up in, and some hot coco…I am only several hours drive from ya’ll so we have the same weather right now :(

  8. Sherrill adds her thoughts::

    Having lived in PA nearly all my life and moving to the desert of California 2 yrs ago, I long for a 2-3 days of good rain! I never imagined that 360 days of sunshine a year would wear on me!? I guess it is always greener on the other side.

  9. Faith adds her thoughts::

    Know exactly how you feel!!! I live here in east texas and right now it’s pouring over here! :-) We’re all wrapped up in 3 blankets, 2 pairs of socks on our feet, and one electric heater turned all the way up, while we watch a movie. And yes, we’re still constantly reminding ourselves that we live in Texas. ;-)

  10. Shanna adds her thoughts::

    It is 43 here in Dallas. But, we do not have the heater on YET!! It is 73 in the house but I am sure it will start cooling off soon. But, it will have to be in the60′s before I turn on the heat. Not, that I enjoy this but ya do what ya gotta do.

    And you from Oregon?????
    How can that be?
    :)
    Life begins when it starts to rain.

      kerri,
      I’m from Oregon, but that post was by my oldest daughter. She started out in Ohio, and has been in Texas for the past 6 years.
      All of the older girls remember snow with fondness. Ugh!

  13. Shannon adds her thoughts::

    I am here in Texas and not far from you and I SECOND WHAT YOU JUST SAID! Seriously, I had a friend tell me today just how much she loves this weather we are having after I told her it was depressing me. Argghhhh! I loathed it and all it’s depressing feel. And thanks for the post because my friend had me feeling like there must be something wrong with me for not being all joyous about this horrendous weather.

    Be very glad you don’t live here in Vancouver, Canada.It rains and rains and then rains some more. You do get used to it though.

  15. Sarah adds her thoughts::

    Indeed. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I live in Florida and thankfully our rainy season is in the summer. But I remember visiting my sister in Baltimore last winter. It snowed the week before I went, then two weeks after, but while I was there it was gray gray gray with lots of freezing rain. The hotel eventually wouldn’t give me any more blankets, so I turned the thermostat in my room up to 82 (as high as it would go) and left it there for a week! Brrrrrrrr…you are making me want hot cocoa now. I think you should go have a mug too. Marshmallows will warm ya up in no time. ;-)

  16. Philip adds her thoughts::

    All I can say is you need to visit us in Wales.

    It has rained every day for 28 days, and it’s cold, cold cold…..especially when you factor in the wind chill.

    But it’s the price we pay for mountains near the sea and the most wonderful colours in the ferns and trees.

    I love it here!!!

    I guess the Lord puts us where he wants us and he knows best.
