We have a midwife

Vision Forum Deal of the Day: save 40-90%!

It’s official.  Hubby and I visited the office of our new midwife this afternoon and signed her contract.  She’s closer to our home than any midwife we’ve ever had – less than half an hour – and we both agree that she is knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk to.

Curious?  Jennifer has a website: http://www.birthexperiencemidwives.com/

No, she doesn’t have an ultrasound machine, though some of our girls have asked if they would be allowed to pool their own money and pay for an ultrasound.  I don’t know how serious they are.

That’s great news! I’m not nearly as far along as you, and I just decided on a midwife yesterday, and it is a huge weight off of my shoulders. My good news? She does all in-home appointments, so I don’t have to bring a 2 year old and a 1 year old with me or juggle appointments around naptimes. That really sealed the decision for me!

I never comment on blogs, but HAD to when I saw this… she was one of my midwives when my daughter was born, and she is AMAZING! You are in great hands. :)

Had a bad experience with OB yesterday :-( We don’t have midwife (none working in our province) Right now the only option is to birth in the hospital or alone at home!!!! And homebirth are not really legal or illegal just in that gray area!!!

Praying that we could find a better OB soon and that she/he would be Ok with our plan to go on a natural birth!

Go ahead. Make my day.
