South Texas snow

Vision Forum Deal of the Day: save 40-90%!

It doesn’t happen often, but when it does the kids love it.  We haven’t told them what real snow looks like.  They think this is it.

They also think that a raincoat and pink cowboy boots are appropriate attire for “snow” days.

A favorite activity: jumping on the trampoline with snow.  As in, the snow jumps with you.

Not-so-favorite activity: trying to sled down the muddy driveway on a rubbermaid lid.  Lydia’s face says, “See?  I told you it wouldn’t work.”  Kaitlyn is smirking with her back to Lydia: “I can’t believe she really tried it.”  Becca is thinking, “Wait.  I think we should keep trying.”

Rabbit tobacco:

I didn’t know rabbits smoked.  Do they have to be 18?

One of my cousin’s friends tagged a picture of them playing in the snow today in shorts, t-shirts, and the real kicker, BARE FEET.

I will not feel sorry for any of them if they get sick.

the trampoline looks like extra fun on a snow day!

I live on the gulf coast, which I think is the only part of Texas to not get any snow today. :(

There is so much snow this year in my hometown that people are digging tunnels to get through. Too bad we can’t send any via e-mail to you…

Jennifer, I can beat that. Every time it snows around here (fairly often) at least one, usually more, idiot friend posts a picture of herself in a bikini in the snow. *sigh*

I think trampolines are more fun when it snows too.

You all have got to take a trip north during winter sometime so those children can play in “real” snow. That being said, I remember living in San Antonio and being excited that the rooftops had a dusting of snow on them and that there was a light layer on my garden areas. When we moved north to Michigan our budget didn’t much like having to buy shoes more substantial than flip-flops.

We got more snow than that!

Up on the north end, they had enough to make snowmen!

I could totally live with that amount of snow!

love the “let’s slide down the muddy driveway”! that sounds like something we would try to get our younger sibs to do… :P

We over here in East Texas got 4in.!!!! Last week while my mom drove me over to my piano lesson, she remarked that our town of 20,000 must have increased by 5 or 6,000 due to all the snowmen in everyones front yard. 3 days later however the snow melted, weather changed, and we were all enjoying the 70 degree weather. Ahhh, alas, Texas is a strange place to live. :)
