Remember when I logged everything I ate for one day, and I mentioned that my midwife wants a 5 day food log before my next appointment?
I forgot that I’m already down to appointments every 2 weeks. My next appointment is this Thursday! I only have 3 full days left before my next appointment, and I need to log 4 more days of eating.
Fortunately yesterday was Sunday, and I don’t do my usual all-day grazing on Sundays. Instead of 3 meals and 17 snacks, I ate in increments that I can remember. We’ll overlook the fact that my evening meal consisted of 2 scoops of ice cream, a slice of angel food cake, 1/2 cup of strawberries and half a can of redi-whip. At least I can remember what I ate, and maybe my midwife will just skim quickly and praise me for having plenty of dairy that evening. I wonder how many servings of dairy were in that redi-whip?

How, exactly, do you not weigh 400 lbs???
My midwife made me do 4 one-week food logs this last pregnancy. What a meanie! ; – ) Evidently I wasn’t eating enough protein. Sad thing to confess? I, too, am a midwife. We are truly the worst patients.
Here’s a question for ya: would you have eaten a different dinner if you knew it had to go on your food log?
ohhhhh, I just love your food logs.
I had apple pie for dinner. With vanilla ice cream. Shhhhhh!
I’m doing a Bradley class which means I have to log everything I eat for 12 weeks! Now that I’m 7 weeks into it, it’s become second nature and knowing someone will be looking at it really does make me eat better – except for that milkshake I had while running errands that I later found out had 1000 calories! Ack, at least it had 22 grams of protein too.
Well I WAS doing better on my eating habits this week… but all this talk about dessert reminded me of the whipped cream and ice cream I have hidden away in my freezer… mmm… mint chocolate chip….
Mint chocolate chip? One of my favorite flavors! Settles nicely in an already-full belly.
