No changes. Still having mild but noticeable contractions 2-3 times/hour, but this just doesn’t feel like labor and I don’t tend to dilate until the real stuff kicks in. At this point, I can still walk through the contractions, though they are strong enough to make my legs feel weak and tingly so I have to slow down.
Since this 3 day weekend is nearly over, I’m pretty convinced that the baby won’t show up until next weekend in spite of the persistent false labor.
I guess we’re having another June baby. I wonder how hubby feels about June as a middle name for a girl?

One of my good friends is expecting a baby girl this month and they’re going to name her June. I think it’s adorable! Hope you labor well. I’ll be praying for you.
Still hoping for a June 3rd baby and praying for a peaceful and safe birth.
I think June is a very sweet,feminine name;Hope every thing continues at a good pace.
I LOVE June (Junia too, I mentioned way back in the other name thread–plus that one’s biblical.)
Just because It’s beautiful…
“Mine is the Month of Roses; yes, and mine
The Month of Marriages! All pleasant sights
And scents, the fragrance of the blossoming vine,
The foliage of the valleys and the heights.
Mine are the longest days, the loveliest nights;
The mower’s scythe makes music to my ear;
I am the mother of all dear delights;
I am the fairest daughter of the year.”

Oh man… hope the baby comes soon, I know all too well that walking around in discomfort with contractions is NOT fun…. sending southern thoughts your way. Will check back soon. Keep us updated

If it’s any encouragement, with my 7th, I had one contraction an hour for 34 hours. Then all of a sudden labor picked up and the contractions started coming every 10 minutes. In less than 3 hours I was holding my new born son in my arms. None of my labors before or after followed that pattern – so, don’t give up hope for a May baby. It still might happen. And, if not, June is a lovely month (although I’ve never had a June baby myself).
Best wishes for a safe delivery and a healthy baby.
Praying all goes well-I’ll be checking back!-BTW-you may want to look up ‘drat’ at dictionary.com-like you, I thought it was a fairly benign byword until a friend educated me.
Dear Kim,
Because I like routines, patterns and traditions myself I understand how perfectly wonderful it would be to have a Memorial Day baby. However, we never know what is coming, so delight in the moment with your kids. Just take a minute to soak in all the warmth and love that comes from your sweet family. Focus on their interests for a while. Then, that baby will appear in no time!! You know, ‘a watched pot never boils’ type scenario. And, make sure you watch the Texas sunset this evening. I had to move away from Texas and would sacrifice to see that sunset tonight. We are praying for a healthy baby, easy delivery and peace beyond all understanding for you and your family.
Love to you all,
The Nichols Family
Yes, Kim, please look up the meaning of drat. You probably don’t want that out there for the world to see any longer.
I pray that you will have a wonderful delivery very soon!
Today, we are celebrating our son, Ethan’s 4th b-day. He was born at 11:59pm. Talk about waiting until the last minute. Guess he didn’t want to hold out that extra minute, though, to be a June baby.
Also, our son Jonathan is about to turn 1 June 3rd. If he was a girl, he would have been Amelia June.
