  38. Quinn :

How to Organize Your Home to Promote Family Unity

I’ve had this topic on my mind lately… even to the point of considering knocking down the wall between the living room and kitchen to join the two main areas of our home. I had shelved the idea of that costly renovation wondering if it was too radical.

  39. I think we would enjoy #6. Our little one is just 8 months old so we still have a bible reading time with her and then separate time with my husband and I but I know eventually we would like to have a family worship of some sort – I just don’t know what it will look like.

My most favorite would be the one on family unity…..My marriage is having a rough time right now and I think this could help. Also I have 2 boys who can’t keep from fighting with eachother, so the sibling rivery would be helpful I am sure. Also the masculinity one, I have 10 and 7 year old boys!

  55. I also shared my favorite post from Life in a Shoe on my blog here: http://ourbusyhomeschool.blogspot.com/2011/02/random-bits-for-giveaway-im-entering.html

It is one from the 4 Moms series on storage – I love your kitchen storage and seriously need to make organizing my kitchen a priority this spring. I love all the 4 moms posts!

  56. I would love, love, love to win these! The one on jive talk might be my favorite, but they all look so great!

  57. Tayler M. :

These look great! There are so many that I’d like to hear, but if I had to pick just one, I guess I would go with #16 (or 1, or 2, or 3…). :-)

    ~Tayler M.

  58. Mary :

One of my favorite vision forum books right now is Large Family Logistics. We are excited to announce that we are expecting number 7. Life is busy and this book helps you sort out ways to make things work for our larger than normal family. The topics look so encouraging.Thank you for offering this to us.

  59. I would love to hear so many of these messages, but right now, I would especially love to hear “How to wage war on sibling rivalry” ; my oldest was once totally enamored with his sister…and now somedays, there isn’t even an ounce of compassion towards her ( not that she hasn’t made it hard for him to be loving now and again…). I feel like raising these kids to love and support one another is my biggest “generation” goal for my family, since there is this awful legacy of sibling rivalry on both sides :o (

  60. Lisa :

I think I need to hear about cultivating an appreciate for poetry more than anything, and then I would love to pass it along to my children. Also, getting the whole family involved in hospitality sounds like one I would love to hear. But only because you’re making me choose!

  61. Lisa :

I posted a link to this giveaway on FB!

  87. They all sound great but I think I’m the most interested in the first one “How to Organize Your Home to Promote Family Unity”. We could always use more organization and more unity :)

  88. Bambi :

    Can’t wait to hear #3!

  89. How to wage war against sibling rivalry………after all these years…….we STILL deal with this one!

  90. Fred Bittle :

They all sound so good! The messages on sibling rivalry and cultivating a love of reading would probably be at the top of my list right now.

  101. Joann :

All messages seem great. How to Organize Your Home to Promote Family Unity would be the first thing I would want to focus on. Two things our family is in need of.

  102. Rebecca Flegal :

I would love to hear all of the messages– but the war on sibling rivalry one really interests me as well as teaching girls femininity. Thank you

  112. I have a BlueBehemoth account–thank you!

  113. What a terrific giveaway! I received their email about this and watched Doug and Beall’s cute little video telling about it, but I couldn’t even begin to consider actually subscribing. Gary and I could probably make our own informative vids about some of these topics (as if we’d have time), but those last two…okay, so I know “How to Take a Road Trip” isn’t going to answer the question, “Why has it been over ten years since we took a family vacation and how can we pull one off this year?” but still. And choosing a good location for a family vacation–well, a girl can dream, right??

    Thanks for making this available!!

  114. Yes, I definitely subscribe to your blog. And I have now spent more time commenting than I have spent writing anything on my own blog for the past year. That’s about to change. :-)

  115. Sonya :

  121. Okay, Kim, I have now posted about this on my blog. And I re-learned how to create new posts on my blog. Which is about to be purchased by some other entity and therefore will no doubt change how I must post. Which makes this a perfect time to learn the soon-to-be obsolete system, right?

  122. They all look wonderful…but #1 and #16 especailly. :)

  123. Created my bluebehemoth account just now!

  130. Becky :

    I recieve email updates/

  131. Rachel H :

All of the topics catch my eye. I might be speaking out of turn here since we have not been blessed with any children yet, but we have the quiverful mindset and we want to be as prepared as possible.

The most intriguing one to me right now is the one addressing miscarriage. I had a miscarriage in the fall six months after my husband and I felt convicted about being on birth control (largely due to my reading your blog for 4+ years – and I say that with gratitude). While I firmly believe it has given me even more of a testimony to others and why they should not “plan” their family, I already wonder what it will be like to talk to my *hopefully* future children about it. I know in my heart I will always consider the child I lost to be my first.

  132. Becky :

    I want #12 the most.

  133. Tanya :

Our most helpful message would have to be “How to Make Mealtime Meaningful”. From what I understand it talks a little about table manners. We really NEED this one because my youngest child doesn’t understand why you should have to put down your drink to pick up your fork. And my sons agree!

  134. Katey :

They all look great but I would be most interested in the sibling rivalry one, thanks!

  135. Hannah :

The message “How to Organize Your Home to Promote Family Unity” would be very beneficial for our family right now.

  140. i facebooked this

  141. #11, definitely. My older two are three and two and this is becoming a HUGE issue around here.

But the main reason I wanted to comment is because I FOUND YOUR BLOG AGAIN! Seriously, you have NO idea how excited I am about this! I used to follow you three years ago while I was awaiting the birth of my first child and then somehow lost your blog address and never could find it again. And then today I was researching ectopic pregnancies from a Christian perspective (one of my good friends just had one) and found you!

    Ohh, sadly #11 sibling rivalry.

  198. Jenn :

I would love to “Involve the whole family in family worship”.
    Thanks!

  199. Irene :

I received an email about this. I have a problem though, because I can’t start up a bluebehometh account because I’m from Canada. I’m a little disappointed I can’t sign up for this class with Beall and Doug. :( Knowing your husband works for Vision Forum I thought I would mention that here.

  200. Shelby :

    I shared on Facebook :) !

  201. Shelby :

I am a follower to LIAS

  205. Ronnie :

I am interested in this one, especially – How to Encourage Femininity in Daughters. I have 8 children – my oldest is a girl (23yrs) and my youngest (18mo) In the middle of my (only, then) daughter’s teen years, God began changing our hearts towards a more feminine attitude for me and her – it was a tough transition at the time. I would love some wisdom for starting from the very beginning.

  206. Irene,

I just spoke with our team and we are going to have an alternate delivery method for international customers.

Therefore you are free to enter – and encourage all your fine Canadian friends to enter as well (HINT HINT)

    :)

  207. B Payne :

How to Wage War on Sibling Rivalry is one of the topics that interests me the most because it was such an issue in our family growing up. I live with a full house now, and even though I’m not a mom (yet), I want to be able to handle issues and protray Godliness in the way I live with my family right now.

  208. Becki :

    I have a bluebehemoth.com account.

  209. Andie :

Meaningful mealtimes–homeschooling, we eat together three times a day. Plus 7 kids from 14 to 10 months. We generally aim for fewer than 3 people talking at a time, and try to keep the little ones to a low roar. We would like tips on aiming higher than this!

  210. Amanda L :

I think I’m most interesting in “Preparing for a year of home education”! We’re a couple of years away from it but I’ve been researching all I can about homeschooling so I can be well prepared… the rest of the messages look fantastic too :)

  211. Becki :

  215. Becki :

I just shared on FB my favorite post from your blog:
Happy Valentines Day post, February 13, 2010

Its good to see real life examples of how husbands can show love to their wives.
I still smile as I read that story.

  216. Liz p :

I would love to hear how to plan for a whole YEAR of home education!

  217. Liz p :

  218. Martha :

Do I have to choose just one!?! Well, I guess it would be “How to Cultivate Femininity in Your Daughter.” I have 3 amazing daughters (one of whom is a serious tomboy) and think this message would be great…especially since I am not particularly feminine myself!

  219. Martha :

I have a Blue Behemoth account!

  220. Martha :

I shared about the giveaway on Facebook.

  221. Martha :

    I subscribe to Life in a Shoe…

  222. Malia :

Very difficult to pick only 1 topic!!! The First talk on organizing our family for family unity should be very helpful and spill out into every other topic in the list.

  223. “How to Take Children Safely Through an Airport” Sounds mighty interesting, and I would love to hear it.
    Thanks all!

  224. Melissa :

I would like the last one about choosing a place for your family to vacation. With seven kids, we’ve been struggling the last few years to even consider going on vacation–financially & logistically. I’d love to hear what the Phillips have to say on this subject.

  225. Amy :

I really want to hear the speech about masculinity and sons. I’m a mom of 4 boys and can never hear too much about that subject.

  226. Amy :

I have a Blue Behemoth account! Do only new accounts count? I’ve had mine since the site started.

  227. Irene :

    I subscribed to your blog!
I just finished with the virtual amazon tour that was offered through Vision Forum and I loved it!

  228. Bridget :

They all look so good! How to Organize Your Home to Promote Family Unity. That would be my highest interest!

  229. Since I?just have a son so far, I’d say the one on raising sons would be the one I’d like to hear most.

  230. I also subscribe to your blog (sorry about the funny typing above, my computer switched to Chinese and I didn’t catch that first).

  231. I’ve had an account at behemoth for a long time now and love the Jonathan Park downloads that are occasionally the freebie of the day!

  232. Sara :

Wow, this looks great! How to Make Mealtime Meaningful is the one that interest me most.

  233. Thank you for the chance to win. There are so many amazing topics but I guess I would be interested in the “How to Involve the Whole Family in Hospitality” having small children I find it hard to encourage this.

  234. jami :

They all sound great, but we are working on hospitality. So # 14.

  235. jami :

we have a blue behemoth account

  236. Andrea :

I think all of them would be helpful. I am just starting home-schooling next year, though, so #4 would be helpful right now.

  237. Andrea :

    I subscribe to your blog

  238. They all sound great, but the first one sounds really great-organizing your home to promote family unity. Good stuff!

  239. I also subscribe to your blog!

  240. Laura :

Please enter ME! We could use LOADS of help in the area of poetry!!! Yet, i think all the topics are great!

  241. Laura :

We just set up a Blue Behemoth account!!!

  242. Jen L :

Topic #1.How to Organize Your Home to Promote Family Unity sounds like a great foundation topic to me – but so do many others!!

Thank you for the opportunity of the giveaway.

  243. Jen L :

I have a Blue Behemoth account.

  244. Liz :

I would love to win this because I live in the UK, so this is one of the few giveaways I can take advantage of!

I think #12 How to Use Household Decorations to Teach Character sounds absolutely fascinating – I can’t even begin to think what might be said. But with a dreamy, creative daughter, it could be wonderful for us.

    Blessings,
    Liz

  245. BTW I know of several other blogs who are giving these away. Here is one:

    http://www.everygoodpath.net/Vision-Forum-Family-Strategies

I would google “Family Strategies: Practical Issues for Building Healthy Families” for more chances to win.

  246. Rebekah :

These are all great! Thanks for the opportunity! I think we could learn alot about the entrepreneurial spirit!

  247. Holly :

Most assuredly the “jive talk” would be the MOST useful for us. The kids have certainly picked up a lot of slang from ME, but they have a lovely way of twisting it into ugliness and insults, so learning not only how to break the habit myself, but help un-training my kids in this sarcastic area of our lives would be helpful.

  248. Diana :

I think ‘How to Handle a Social Worker Visit’ would be most useful to my husband and I. We would like to follow my parents example of adoption, and although I’ve seen them go through multiple social worker visits, being on the parental end would be totally different! I’m excited about all these messages though!

  249. Diana :

    I just subscribed in Blogger!

  250. Luci :

“How to Encourage Masculinity in Sons” would definitely be the most valuable – we are expecting our first baby, a boy! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  251. Luci :

For a second entry — I subscribe to you! :)

  252. Martine :

How to Wage War on Sibling Rivalry would be most helpful to my family right now. All the messages sound wonderful, I had a hard time picking my number one.

  253. Martine :

I am a subscriber to Life in a Shoe.

  254. Amber :

I have trouble narrowing it down so I asked my husband and he said #15 interests him the most.

  255. Amber :

I already subscribe to Life in a Shoe.

  256. Amber :

If I’ve shared, um, dozens? of my favorite posts of yours, does that count? Your 4 Moms posts are my favorites and I’m in the process of linking them here (I hope you don’t think I’m crazy…):

  257. Lindsey Thomas :
