This week I have another really fun giveaway: reusable bowl covers from a reader’s Etsy shop!  These are both cute and functional, and the Set of 4 Food Safe Bowl Covers with Nylon Lining contains enough sizes to fit everything from a single-serving ramekin to my huge 8 quart tupperware bowl.  I was delighted to agree when Briana asked me to review them for her, and I chose the hodge-podge of fabric for ultimate adorableness.

Proof of adorableness?  My photographer kept running into the house with little squeals of delight to show me the photos she was taking.  ”Look!  It’s so cute!”

This bit of cuteness was out there on the deck while she took photos.  That look on his face?  It’s because somebody just dropped an ice cube down the back of his diaper.  I kid you not.  We’re in for it when he gets bigger.

Earlier this week I ordered hard plastic covers from Amazon to fit my 6 quart Kitchenaid bowl.  What was I thinking?!  Those are going back to Amazon now that I have this:

This one elicited the most squeals.  Aren’t the butterflies too cute?

And if you’re creative, you just might think of additional uses.  This cover can also double as a jaunty beret.  Don’t worry, she’s not always that serious.  I think it’s her French look.

These bowl covers are nice and stretchy to fit a variety of sizes, and she even offers a size to fit 9×13 and 11×15 pans!  They are super easy to care for.  They can be washed in the sink with the dishes, or tossed in the laundry for a more thorough cleaning (you probably don’t want to let them go through the dryer).

I subscribe to your mailing list as well as follow your blog posts. I had to get rid of my Facebook page (I was spending WAY too much time on it). Otherwise, I’d like both you and Mommy’s Cloth Treasures there, too.:)

  5. Tori :

As far as ideas: Based on the products/fabrics she already offers, I think she’d do really, really well offering cloth diaper covers. Or placemats.

  6. Rebecca P :

Cloth diapers or reusable sandwich bags.

Oooh, I know what my best friend is getting for Christmas! She’ll “squee” over these too! :)

I’d love to see some cloth/nylon wipes containers for my purse! I don’t typically take a diaper bag with me unless I’m headed for an extended outing, and I get annoyed with stuffing the whole (amazon.com-three-pack-of-huggies) bag of wipes into my purse.

  18. I think I would be interested in some sort of cloth hot pads to protect counter or table surfaces from hot dishes. I always use some crazy assortment of trivets or pot holders. It would be fun to have a matching set – pot holders, placemats, & hot pads.

  24. Stacy :

I think reusable sandwich/snack bags. (Hopefully this is open to Canadians!)

  25. Justine :

I like the reusable sandwich/snack bag idea that others have listed – just bought some a few weeks ago and am loving them so far.
Also, I think she should make cloth shower caps! These bowl covers remind me of them, but perhaps with a terry cloth lining to make it more comfy? I’d love a good quality, machine-washable one to use instead of the cheap-o “disposables” from hotel bathrooms that I reuse, but I’ve had a hard time finding them – and don’t like the ones I’ve found!

  26. Justine :

I just “Liked” you on FB – surprised I hadn’t done it already!

Since she makes mama cloth items, maybe some reusable nursing pads with the nylon stuff on one side would be a good item.

(I’m a Google Reader subscriber, so this is the first time I’ve clicked over and noticed the new look. I REALLY like it!! Great job!!)

  46. Brita McKenzie :

My suggestion would be snack sized reusable bags. I would love to own some to pack snacks for trips in the car. I love the bowl covers!

  47. I have two ideas for what you should add to your store:

Pot carriers. My mom has one from the seventies (judging by the fabric colors) that we use all the time! It is slightly padded, and is like a large cloth bowl with a handle. Then it has a tie that goes over the top of the lid of whatever pan you’re carrying. It’s great for taking a pot of stew anywhere without worrying about spilling.

Baby carrier storage. I’m in the market for a baby carrier, and many of the ones I’m considering don’t have any storage space whatsoever. Only the Ergo does. It would be great to have a cute, attachable pouch with a zipper that hooks onto most carriers. I may make one for myself because I think it would be so useful!

  48. I’ve been subscribed to your newsletter for quite a while. Does that count?

  49. Cloth diapers if she’s brave or maybe reusable sandwich bags.

  50. I like you on Facebook! :)

  51. R Short :

We would like to suggest cloth books with useful, fun things for children.

  52. Diana :

Wow, those covers look great since I don’t like to use much plastic wrap. I also like the idea of those reusable sandwich bags.

  53. Sydney :

It looks like others have suggested these already, but when I saw her ‘shop,’ my immediate thoughts were diaper covers and nursing pads.
I would love to win these bowl covers… We try to store in glass or corningware rather than plastic, so these would be perfect!

  57. Joni :

    For ideas for her…
What about furoshikis, and have a instructional sheet on how to tie them…

Obento bags would be great too!
I make my children’s obentos, and then put them in a bag with a string top to tighten and it keeps the lunch all together and easy to carry.

Also some sort of carry thingy to carry bottles of water while out or on a picnic that has a long strap to put over your shoulder would be fun too!

  58. I went and checked out her store and two things struck me, where are the reusable snack and sandwich bags, then the nursing pads, two things that just seem like they would go well with what is already there.
