$4 Vision Forum sale

If you like Vision Forum, you’ll want to know about this sale!  Several pages of great stuff priced at $4 each!  I saw several titles I have personally loved and recommended in the past.  If the past is any indication, it’s very likely they will add more items over the course of the sale so be sure to check back often!

A few of my personal favorites:

Ten P's in a Pod (Paperback)

$4.00 (Save 71%)

Sale at Vision Forum: Half price dolls and more!

The big people are at their Krav Maga lesson, the little ones are winding down for bed, and I’m reading my email with a happy baby in my lap.  I know it’s been a long time since I posted twice in a day or even twice in a week, but this sale is too good to let it pass without saying something about it.  To sweeten the deals below, you can use the code SHIPSFREE to get free shipping on any order over $95, or code SAVE10 to – you guessed it – save $10 on your order.

The dolls are what really caught my eye.  I can’t believe they’re priced this low since they sell so well at regular price!

The Jubilee Doll

There are also lots of dresses and other doll accessories on sale right now to fancy up somebody’s new doll.  🙂

The set of 20 hardcover Ballantyne adventure books is also on sale for less than $10/book.  My Megan loves these books for their rich vocabulary, varied plots and settings, and the author’s ability to seamlessly weave the Gospel into his stories.  We also have a weakness for books with that sturdy, old-fashioned look and feel.

Perry and my nephews got several Legos-compatible sets for Christmas, and not surprisingly the girls are enjoying them too.  Even my husband and I helped assemble some!  We stuck mainly with military themed sets, but the medieval ones look pretty cool too.

There are lots other great deals, but I’m being paged for a bedtime story.  We’re just about to finish Little Town on the Prairie.  What are you reading?

Vision Forum Deal of the Day: 3 Man Slingshot and an inside tip

There’s a link for the Vision Forum Deal of the Day in my sidebar, and today’s deal is super fun!
Product image

Three-Man Slingshot Water Balloon Launcher (with balloons & nozzle) for just $9.90!

We’ve had one of these for years, and it’s still going strong.  It is designed for water balloons, but is also perfect for rotten apples and other produce that gets lost and forgotten in the back of the fridge.  Don’t judge me.  We’re feeding the wildlife.

I’m guessing it would also be great for snowballs, but you’ll have to try that out yourself and let us know.

Want to never miss a great Deal of the Day?  Sign up for the daily email in the right sidebar of the Deal of the Day page.

Inside tip: If you miss a great deal on a great item, search for the item on the Vision Forum website the following day.  The special price often lasts another 24 hours even after a new Deal of the Day has been announced.

Jonathan Park volume 8 is here!

Just a word to all the Jonathan Park fans out there – or homeschooling parents looking for something fun to add to next year’s science curriculum – volume 8 is here!

The Copper Scroll

When the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, one scroll stood out from all the rest. It was made of copper and described more than sixty vast, hidden treasures — and how to find them. But where are those treasures now?

This real-life riddle has stumped archeologists and treasure hunters for almost sixty years. Now Jonathan, Kendall, Jim, and Jessie think they’ve uncovered a clue that may unlock the mystery. As the Creation Response Team follows clues from one biblical location to the next, opposition increases on every side. The team’s even being tailed by Myles Morgan!

Join the Creation Response Team for a heart-racing archeological treasure hunt that will uncover ancient artifacts from Bible times and reveal exciting testimonies to God’s amazing creation and His inerrant Word. . . in Jonathan Park and the Copper Scroll!

It’s full price which is still a great deal, but you can get all 8 for 50% off!

3 Great Deals from Vision Forum today

3 things to buy me time while I work on my pregnancy update for this week:

  1. Did you enter the giveaway to win a free family pass to The Reformation of Food & the Family?  It’s going to be great, and we would love to see you here in San Antonio next month!  The giveaway ends very soon, so click through and enter now!
  2. Product imageToday’s Deal of the Day is a good ‘un: Providential Battles I: Twenty Battles that Changed the World (4 CDs).  Want proof?  It’s already backordered.  You can still get it for half price today, you’ll just have to wait a little longer for it to arrive.  Trust me: it’s worth the wait.  It’s not specifically aimed at children, but my kids love this series by Bill Potter.  I think that’s because Bill Potter loves this subject, and his enthusiasm is contagious.
  3. Now through 6/29, you can save up to 80% on over 250 homeschooling resources from Vision Forum in the annual homeschooling clearance sale!  So, what’s on your wishlist?

Giveaway and Perry Coghlan’s video debut as – a drug dealer?!

About a month ago, my husband stepped off to talk with a friend and was mysteriously unaccounted for during the a good part of the afternoon.  It seems he’s been up to no good.  I hope you won’t be too scandalized.  He’s a family man with obligations.  Times are hard, and we all do what we have to do.

But maybe you’re not scandalized.  Maybe you see things a little differently, or at least you recognize there may be some validity to an alternative view.  Maybe you’ll also be interested in Vision Forum’s upcoming conference, The Reformation of Food & the Family.

The Food Conference

You do it three times a day, seven days a week and fifty-two weeks a year. If you live to be 85 years of age, you will experience it more than 90,000 times. It is called food, and it was designed by God as the fuel of life. But to describe food merely as fuel falls short of the depth and breadth of the biblical message. Frankly, there are few subjects which are addressed as often in the Bible as food. Hundreds, if not thousands of Scripture verses, incorporate various types of food, directions about food and spiritual lessons in which food is an element.

The conference will be July 12-14 in San Antonio, TX.  Who wants to go?  Who wants to win a free family pass?!

You know the routine.  To enter, do any or all of the below, and leave a separate comment for each entry.  If you really, really want to win, pump up your chance of winning by doing everything!

  1. Leave a comment here telling why you want to go to the conference or what you hope to learn at the conference.
  2. Blog about this giveaway for 3 extra entries!  Remember to leave 3 separate comments if you blog about it.
  3. Share this giveaway on Facebook.
  4. Like The Reformation of Food & the Family Conference on Facebook.

We will choose one random winner to receive a free family pass valued at $399!  See ya there!

This giveaway has ended.  The winner is Hannah, who said: “I would love to win because I am just learning about more healthy food and would love to learn more for free!”

Knives for Sale

posted by Natalie

I have two things I would like to sell.  The reason I want to sell these is because my sister’s birthday is coming up and I need money to buy her a present.

Both of us these are brand new from Vision Forum, not from clearance.  What I have for sale is these:

Boys Practice Throwing Knife, as shown. There are three knives.  This is $12.00 plus $4 for shipping.

Product image

And this one is Six Piece Throwing Knives With Sheath, the price for this one is $17.00 plus $4 for shipping.

Product image

I will sell both together for $24.00 and free shipping for them.  Just leave a comment if you want one or both of them.

I would like to sell these relativity fast, order soon!!

Giveaway: Complete Jonathan Park Adventure Library

This one is for Facebook only, but I wanted to make sure you heard about it.  Maybe you have a FB account but don’t use it very often, so you might have been kicking yourself when you logged in just in time to see what you missed.

Life in a Shoe passed the 2,000 mark in Likes on Facebook, so I’m celebrating by giving away all 7 Jonathan Park Adventure albums!  Just leave a comment on the FB giveaway post to enter to win this fun, wholesome series that will help equip parents and children to defend creation truths against evolutionary lies.

Do you have any of these?  I would love to hear what your family thinks of them.  I like to tell people about the time my 20yo cousin was riding home from work with my husband and Perry popped a CD into the player.  At the beginning of the ride Jason was mocking it and complaining that he wanted to listen to music.  By the time they got home, he sheepishly asked Perry to leave the key in the ignition so he could hear the end.

Psst!  I didn’t know this until I kicked off the giveaway, but the Jonathan Park Adventure library is on sale right now for 40% off – just $105 for 84 exciting creation science adventures!

Sale on Jonathan Park

Jonathan park on sale

One of our very favorite homeschool items from Vision Forum is on sale this week, and I thought you should know.  That’s partly because it’s a great sale on some great stuff, and partly because as I told you in an earlier post this morning, my bottom is plastered to a chair today and it’s not moving. Of course the computer is within reach (I chose my chair wisely).

The Deal: Save 40% when you purchase any three or more individual Jonathan Park albums. Or, save 50% when you purchase the 7-album Jonathan Park Complete Adventure Collection or the 4-album Jonathan Park Creation Guide Series.  Here are all the individual Jonathan Park albums.

So while I sit here working on other posts for later this week, you can pop over and get some cheap thrills – er, I mean a great price on some real adventures.  Same thing, wildly different connotation, huh?

Oh, and enter my giveaway on Facebook for a $35 Vision Forum gift certificate!
