Graphic Design
I love doing graphic design! Here are some jobs I have done so far:
- I created the header for Ship Full O’ Pirates
- I did the “Improve Your Blog Month” banners
- I did most of the Vision Forum affiliate banners
- I changed the colors on the Paperback Swap banner with their permission
- Favicons for Geneva Bible Pages and Life in a Shoe
- I did the Frugal Hacks Saturday Roundup button
- I reconfigured the Cash Crate banner to fit our sidebar
- I did the logo and product images for our family business, Geneva Bible Pages
- I have done a lot of custom images for our own blog, including but not limited to the ones below.
I can do any of the following:
- silhouettes
- photo touch-up and enhancements
- cut out a single item and add drop shadow
- logos
- headers
- favicons
- signatures
- buttons and badges
- remove unwanted items from a photo
- paste a missing person into a group photo
- and more. Just ask!
Right now I am just working for tips and I ask that you put my new button on your blog or a credit that links back to this page.
If you're new here, please take a moment to introduce yourself! If you enjoyed this post, feel free to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Kait-you did an awesome job on the banners for me! I can’t wait to work with you on some silhouettes. . . those will make a great Christmas gift for the grandparents. ..

Hello!
I was just telling my daughter that our carnival needs a new logo. With your parent’s permission, check out our website for our charity carnival and see if you would be interested in doing a new logo for us. We’re raising funds this year for a homeschooling family who just lost their father!
Blessings!

How did you get started in Graphic design? What programs do you use? I would like to get our kids into some of this but am not sure where to start. Any suggestions? Thanks
Mrs. Cindy,
Ever since I was 3 yrs I’ve love drawing in Paint Brush. It is a free program that comes with most older computers. A year or 2 ago my dad bought a program called Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0. That is what I use now. It has a lot of really cool special effects- but be ye warned it is *really* frustrating to try and figure it out yourself. My mom and I tried and… we ended up asking dad to bring some Photoshop experts from Vision Forum for dinner. They answered some of our questions and showed us some free tutorials (there are a lot of good ones out there if you just search google.com ) and one of the guys so generously gave us a DVD tutorial called “Total Training for Adobe Photoshop Elements 5″
I hope this helps!

Kaitlyn,
I am the owner of http://www.UnpluggedShop.com. It is a new site and has fairly low traffic - about 50 visitors per day.
I would like to talk about coming up with some schwag for my site. Perhaps a cap, denim shirt, shop apron, t shirt or something like that. Perhaps we could use cafepress.
Since it would involve coming up with sort of a mini marketing campaign, it might be more than you would want to get into. Send me an email, and we can discuss it if you are interested.
As far as programs for graphic design and publishing, there are several free open source programs that are decent including gimp, scribus, and inkscape. I wouldn’t say they are easy to learn, but they are pretty powerful for hobbiest/home use. I use all of them on Linux, but I understand they also run on Windows.
I have been needing a header, favicon and 125 x 125 for my blog so that it doesn’t look like all the other Wordpress in a box blogs out there! I would love some help, and I have some Paypal too ;). Would you like to come and take a look around and see what you think? I’d basically like my visitors to know that they are at the right blog when they show up for a repeat visit - something more memorable than just some text :).
Kaitlyn,
Thank you sooooo much for all the work you did on my blog. It’s quite handsome. You did a wonderful job!
You do beautiful work!
Hi Kaitlyn - I love your work! I am starting up a little online shop selling kids clothes that I make myself, called Cupcake Clothes. I really need a nice graphic button, something I can use for advertising on other sites too.
Email me if you are interested in doing something, I would be very happy to give you heaps of credit on my blog and at the new shop!

Kaitlyn,
How much do you charge for a header?
Kaitlyn, you can also do a google search for free font downloads, and for tutorials on how to install those new fonts to your computer. I love playing around on photoshop, and have downloaded over 3000 various new fonts for free…it has broadened the spectrum of script beyond what I could’ve hoped for, and really enhances any projects you’re working on.
Great banners and things, by the way!
