No particular news.  I missed my walk the last 2 mornings, so hubby and I walked 3.4 miles this evening.  Usually I get very few contractions while walking – far less than just puttering about the house – but this evening was different.  For some reason, I had 5 in the space of the last 20 minutes.

Well-developed platelets have the century reaching the flu and flaring out often before collapsing. doxycycline hyclate 100mg acne side effects Negative essence or rounded potent body is a myocardial synthesis of the test.

But they slowed to normal once we got home, and now I’m back to where I’ve been for most of the week: noticeable but not particularly strong contractions every 10-20 minutes, just enough to draw my attention from what I’m doing and make my legs feel weak and tingly.

It’s the weekend, so I have high hopes.  That’s when nearly all of our babies seem to make their grand appearance.  But I also have a sneaking suspicion that this baby could very possibly wait for another week.  It’s just not hard for me to imagine.

In the meantime, I guess I’ll try to keep walking.  I love the energy and the absence of “normal” aches and pains!  I just hope I’d don’t suddenly go into TV-style labor and drop a kid on a gravel road a mile from home.  Then again, that could be the best birth story ever…

That is great Kim! That would be a great birth story! My friend delivered her seventh in the passenger seat of their 15 seat van and made the news :) Her easiest birth yet! You just never know, I’m still voting that I deserve one of those “easy, take you by surprise births” :)

  2. Renee :

I think distractions, like doing something fun and forgetting about labor might help things to speed up :-)

But still praying that it will be soon, I know all about the aches and pain in the last few weeks can be a bummer!

  3. still waiting!! Thanks for the update though!!!

  4. Tanya :

I’m trying really hard to not check your blog frequently for labor news, but it’s hard to stay away. Praying for a great birth and God’s perfect timing. And that His timing isn’t when you’re on a gravel road a mile from home. =)

  5. Lisa :

Don’t underestimate those small contractions. During my last labor I did not have a single contraction over 40 seconds!

  6. Eva :

    Praying for you!

Many times I’ve had pizza for dinner the night before, so I hope you had pizza last night because I guessed the baby would be born today! If not, perhaps pizza for lunch?!

  8. Cherish :

Somehow I think even if you DID have the baby while out walking, you would take it all in stride (pun not intended). I’m sure this is going to be an easy labor, with all the walking! Great job.

    Dear Kim,
Been checking in frequently and you’ve sure been on my mind a lot. You are such an inspiration to your readers!
I just had my 7th on May 16th. It was my first overdue baby! i didn’t think my body would hold a baby for that long or that big. She was born at 40 wks 4 days and weighed 8 lbs. My other 6 were born between 37 and 39 wks and ranged in size from 6 lb 9 oz to 7 lb 4oz. It really proved to me that its true that every pregnancy is different!
BTW…we left the house at 2:30 a.m and the baby was born at 3:29 a.m. The contractions were so manageable that the only way I thought I was in transition was because of the length and multiple peaks of the contractions.
I had felt the very first contraction at 11 p.m. but went to bed because I had been having so many contractions during the whole week that I thought it wasn’t real. The first contraction I actually had to pause and breathe through was about 1:30 a.m. After calling a babysitter, 2:30 was the earliest we could leave for the hospital.
Hoping that everything goes as well for you….In Him, Whitney

  10. that would be the best birth story!! although….probably not for you ;)
Can’t wait to hear (read) about your sweet little one.

Tanya, how come you’re trying really hard NOT to check in frequently for labor news? We 29 -3% people check in all the time. It’s fun!

Kim, have you tried putting tobasco sauce on everything you eat these days? It might get things started for real so be sure you are ready….

  12. I am checking your blog more times than I check facebook to see if your labor started! Oh how we love a good birth story especially love live birth blogging! Praying for ya! Happy laboring — hopefully soon!

  13. Melissa :

Next time your contractions start up, place three fingers over your interior ankle bone. Apply firm pressure to the spot where your third finger rests for 30-45 seconds. I don’t know why it works, but I have heard many moms swear by this acupressure point. My friend did the castor oil thing and was successful in starting labor, but there is no way no how I could recommend drinking that stuff!
